Environment
The environment is the backend/server part of Weavy. Its main purpose is to host the Web API and to be used as a secure storage area.
From your account dashboard we have made it quick and easy to create and manage environments. Each environment gets a dedicated management page where you can create API keys, view usage statistics, logfiles etc.
DevOps
As mentioned above, it is possible to create multiple environments. Each environment gets its own unique URL and storage area, and can be configured to run different versions of Weavy if needed.
Many organizations use the multi-environment support for their DevOps pipeline with environments for "Development", "Staging" and "Production". Others use it to deploy separate Weavy environments for different regions, products etc.
Tiers
Our environment scaling options provide different tiers for optimal performance and storage based on your requirements. The entry-level is free, making it a great starting point when testing and evaluating Weavy. If you need more performance and/or storage, you can always upgrade to one of our paid tiers.
It's important to note that environments can be scaled individually. This means you can scale your production environment to a higher tier while keeping your development environment on the free tier, allowing you to optimize resource usage and spending.
Security
Our environments are powered by Microsoft Azure and we keep your data secure with best-in-class security - data is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
Self hosting
We understand that there are scenarios when you need full control and want to host Weavy in your own infrastructure. For such scenarios we offer the option to self-host Weavy in the location of your choice, e.g. private cloud, on-prem etc.
